What is the Exceptional Futures Hootenanny?
Think of the night as a college football tailgate meets a Bluebird Cafe writer’s round. We’ll open doors at 6:30pm for appetizers & drinks. This is your time to eat, hang out, play some yard games, and mark your spot with a lawn chair or blanket to get ready for the show. Then at 8pm, Landon Wilks will take the stage to play some of his favorite songs and tell you the stories behind them. All proceeds for the night benefit Exceptional Futures!

Who is Landon Wilks?
Mississippi native Landon Wilks is quickly emerging as one of country music’s rising new voices. Following the breakout success of his single “Leave Me Be,” Landon has amassed millions of streams across platforms, earning a growing fanbase drawn to his honest songwriting and emotionally driven sound. Known for his intimate yet high-energy live shows, Landon creates a genuine connection with audiences both on and off the stage. With his debut EP now released and continuing to gain traction, he is rapidly establishing himself as an artist to watch as his career enters its next chapter.

What is Exceptional Futures?
Exceptional Futures is a nonprofit established to serve adults with disabilities who have aged-out of the local school system. Exceptional Futures fosters continued development for these individuals through social, recreational, and volunteer activities, giving them space to continue developing once they no longer qualify for government-provided resources. When & Where will the show be?
The show will be Friday, October 2nd at 3021 Highland Drive SE, Smyrna, GA 30080. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.!

How do I get a ticket?
Your ticket to the show is a $50 donation to Exceptional Futures! Your donation is tax-deductible, and includes heavy hors d'oeuvres, plus craft beer and the night’s specialty cocktail, provided by Shake Up ATL. Please note: donations for this event must be made through the form above. Kids 5 and under are free and do not need to purchase a ticket in order to attend. Early bird pricing ends September 7th!

What should I bring?
This is a backyard concert, so we’d recommend bringing a lawn chair or blanket. We will be providing appetizers and drinks, but you are welcome to bring a cooler with your own food and beverages if you prefer!

How will seating work?
We’re limiting capacity to ensure there won’t be a bad seat in the house, but seating will be first-come, first-served! You are encouraged to bring a blanket or lawn chair to hold down your spot once doors open, and once the lawn is filled we’ll have standing-room only sections to the side of the stage and in the back.

What if it rains?
This will be a rain or shine event. Should it rain the evening of the show, Landon will still play as long as it is safe to do so. Pay close attention to the weather the day of the show and bring a rain jacket / umbrella if needed! If weather conditions become unsafe, the event may be rescheduled, and a new date will be shared with all registrants.

I can't make the event, how can I support?
We're sad you can't make it! However, you can still purchase a ticket and select the option to donate it. We'll make sure that an Exceptional Futures member or staffer are able to use the ticket! You can also support by donating directly here, or by volunteering at one of our many events.
